3. Piran

4. Triglav National Park

Triglav National Park is Slovenia’s largest and most famous national park, located in the north of the country. Named after Slovenia’s highest mountain, Mount Triglav (2864 metres), the park offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. In the park, you can take beautiful walks along lakes, rivers and mountains, or enjoy the park’s flora and fauna. There are also numerous adventure activities to do, such as rafting, climbing and paragliding.

Koper is a beautiful city on the coast of Slovenia, located in the south of the country. Known for its rich history and beautiful architecture, it is a popular destination for city breaks. 7. Soca Valley

The Soca Valley is a beautiful area located in north-west Slovenia, on the border with Italy. The valley is known for its breathtaking nature, with beautiful mountains, forests, and, of course, the Soca River. The Soca River flows south through Slovenia from Mount Triglav. This crystal-clear river is known for its bright blue colour. In summer, you can swim is the refreshing water. The river also lends itself perfectly to adventure activities, such as rafting and kayaking. It is also fun to discover the beautiful nature of the valley on a hike in the Bovec region.

8. The Vintgar gorge

This passage between mountains is located in the north-west of the country, near the town of Bled. It is one of Slovenia’s most popular sights and is known for its breathtaking nature. In the gorge, you can take a hike. You walk along the beautiful river Radovna. Here you will encounter numerous waterfalls. There are also numerous beautiful viewpoints along the walk, where you can enjoy the breathtaking vistas into the gorge.

9. The Triglav mountain pass

The ze route up (and down) the mountain is located in the north of the country, in the Triglav National Park. This road full of dozens of hairpin bends is Slovenia’s highest mountain pass. 10. Military Museum in Pivka.

This museum is located in the southeast of the country, near the town of Postojna. The museum is dedicated to the history of Slovenia’s military and offers an interesting overview of the country’s history. Discover how Slovenia managed to escape the Yugoslavia War thanks to the independence struggle better known as The Ten-Day War. At the museum, you can see numerous interesting objects, including weapons, uniforms and vehicles from different periods in history.
